STAGES needs the name of an initial cell. The sequence of cells and
their correct syntax for the current animal are available by choosing
the `Show Cell Sequence Data' option at the current menu.
For more information on the cell naming syntax, see the `Input Syntax
Description' screen, available at the General Menu.
A list of space-separated initial cells can be entered. At the
subsequent Days Input Menu, you may enter any number of days to go
with your cells. If the number of days is less than the number of
cells, the last day input will be replicated and associated with the
extra cells. If the number of days is greater than the number of
cells, however, then the last cell input will be replicated and
associated with the extra days.
Alternatively, you may type a cellname followed immediately
by a number of days, set inside parentheses. Or, you may type a
list of cellnames, followed by a number of days in parentheses.
A parenthetically entered number of days applies to all cellnames
typed prior to it.
Examples of legal cell input (for the Sprague-Dawley rat) follow
on the next pages.
